Exploring Psilocybin’s Potential in Anorexia Nervosa

Researchers at Imperial College London have completed an early phase clinical trial to assess the feasibility and preliminary outcomes of treating Anorexia Nervosa with psilocybin-assisted therapy. The pilot study (as yet, unpublished) seeks to sharpen the research focus and evaluate the utility and acceptability of study methods for implementation in a larger-scale study. Post-doctoral researcher, Kate Godfrey, and PhD student, Hannah Douglass, will be in conversation with two research participants, Elinor Davies and Katharine Lazenby, about the trial, their experiences and future research directions. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about a novel application of psychedelics and hear from trial participants about how psilocybin has impacted them.
