Join us for a heartfelt discussion with Miitxya, a cherished voice from the Fulni-ô people of Northeastern Brazil. Streaming from his home in Águas Belas, Pernambuco, where his community of 7,000 has thrived for generations, Miitxya carries the spirit of Fulni-ô heritage. As a fluent speaker of Iathê, his native language, and a skilled artisan, he weaves stories and meaning into everything he creates, honoring the lives and wisdom of his ancestors.
In this intimate online circle, Miitxya will welcome us into the heart of Fulni-ô life — a world in harmony with nature and enriched by the sacred practice of Jurema medicine. Through his storytelling, we’ll journey with him across the landscapes and customs of his people, touching on traditions and spiritual insights that have been cherished for centuries. With each story, Miitxya brings us closer to the rhythms of his culture, where plants, rituals, and healing practices flow between the physical and spiritual realms.
Having traveled from his village to cities across Brazil, Miitxya shares the Fulni-ô traditions and wisdom that connect us to the earth and to one another. Yet, his vision reaches beyond borders — he invites us to join in a dialogue, to open our hearts to the Fulni-ô way of life. Together, we will not only listen but feel the presence of Fulni-ô culture. This gathering offers us a chance to carry a part of its beauty and respect into our own lives, creating a bridge of understanding and reverence for Indigenous knowledge.
