Reality Check: Psychedelic Industrial Complex, Hype, Funding, and Research

🗣 David Yaden, PhD (Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine), Josh Hardman (Founder and Editor of Psychedelic Alpha) and Shayla Love (Science Journalist). Hosted by Jane C. Hu (Journalist and Head Writer at The Microdose)

⏰ Wed 19th July, 8PM CEST (7PM GMT, 2PM EST, 11AM PST)

📍Online (OPEN Community Platform)

After years of high hopes and even higher expectations, 2023 seems to be the first year in which disappointments predominate. With some clinical trials not meeting expectations, investments are drying up, companies are going out of business (some spectacularly so) or slimming down operations. In this online panel discussion, we try to disentangle fact from fiction, explore parallel hypes in other industries (such as cannabis and cryptocurrencies) and discuss what a sustainable path forward may look like.

Join David Yaden, PhD (Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine), Josh Hardman (Founder and Editor of Psychedelic Alpha) and Shayla Love (Science Journalist) during this live online panel discussion. The discussion will be hosted by Jane C. Hu (Journalist and Head Writer at The Microdose).
