Join us for an Ask Me Anything exploring one of the most overlooked gaps in psychedelic research: women’s biology. Despite making up the majority of mental health diagnoses, women remain underrepresented in the science underpinning psychedelic therapy, and the hormonal, neurobiological, psychological, sociological and lived-experience factors that shape how psychedelics work for women, in women’s bodies are still poorly understood. This session looks at what the research currently knows, where it falls short, and why women’s biology needs to be treated as central rather than incidental to the field.
If you would like some background before the session, we recommend watching Grace’s ICPR talk in advance, where she maps the current evidence base and makes the case for why women cannot be an afterthought in psychedelic science.
This is your chance to ask about the science directly: how hormonal cycles and menopause intersect with psychedelic use, what the research gaps mean in practice, and what it might look like to build a more inclusive evidence base going forward. Bring your questions, your own research, and anything you have been wanting to ask someone working at the front of this conversation.
