Founded in 2007, the OPEN Foundation is the leading nonprofit organisation in the Netherlands and Europe dedicated to advancing psychedelic science and therapies. OPEN is looking for a dedicated SEO and WordPress Specialist to join our team. Are you passionate about search engine optimization, content strategy, and technical SEO? Do you have experience with WordPress and a keen interest in advancing the digital presence of a mission-driven organisation? If yes, we’d LOVE to hear from you!
About the role
As our SEO & WordPress specialist, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications to improve the SEO performance of the OPEN Foundation’s website. This part-time volunteer role (5-10 hours per week) is a unique opportunity to contribute to expanding knowledge and visibility in the psychedelic space while gaining hands-on experience in SEO strategy and digital growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize the OPEN website’s technical SEO and implement improvements using SEO reports.
- Manage on-page SEO efforts, including blog content optimization and author page enhancements.
- Develop a guest post system and manage contributions to the OPEN blog.
- Create and execute a lead magnet strategy to grow the email list.
- Improve backlinking efforts and ensure partners link to the OPEN website.
Who are we looking for?
Required Qualifications:
Experience in SEO strategy and technical SEO.
Familiarity with WordPress (Elementor) and SEO tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
Understanding of content strategy and on-page SEO.
Ability to work independently and experiment with new technologies.
