exploring the potential use of MDMA in adolescents with PTSD
MDMA-assisted psychotherapy is a promising treatment for adults with (severe) posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Children and adolescents also suffer from PTSD and current treatments leave from for improvement. MDMA-assisted psychotherapy holds a potential to be effective for this population. Josjan Zijlmans will discuss a rationale for MDMA-assisted therapy in child psychiatry, particularly for adolescents with PTSD. He will cover potential risks and benefits and a range of considerations for such treatment. The presentation will have extensive time for discussion and we invite you to actively engage in discussing the potential benefits, risks and considerations for this novel treatment.
